Sweet Love

Sometimes you run across a a set of papers that are so pretty that you really don't have to do much to them to pake a pretty layout.  That is just the cast with Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Love Paper Kit from Lil' Lamb's Boutique.  These papers are shimmery, with just a touch of glitter.  So pretty!

A Fathers Day Challenge

Robyn, over at My Pink Stamper issued a challenge to her followers to create a Fathers Day card (or something masculine) using the colors brown green and yellow.  I hadn't yet made the hub's fathers day card so this was perfect to get me going.

RECIPE:
Base is an A2 card size cut from Bo Bunny Double Dot in Mint green
Brown Layer is cut at 5.25 x 4 inches ~ DCWV Green Stack
Create a Critter Squirrel cut from scraps at 3.5 inches
Ribbon & Button from Hobby Lobby

Create a Critter Accessories ~ Too Cute!

You know those pictures that make you giggle every time you see them?  Well these are a couple that do it to me every time.  I dressed my son up like a carrot for his first halloween.

And who knew that the Create A Critter Carrot would be perfect for a Halloween Layout?

I just love these pictures and the layout turned out so cute!

The orange paper is Bo Bunny Double Dot and the patterened paper is from a Halloween stack I got at Walmart a few years back.  The spider web is a border punch from Martha Stewart.  The title is cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge.  I welded the base shadow together.  Super simple.

Pink Paislee ~ So Pretty!

Like I said in the last post I just adore this KOTM from Lil' Lamb's Boutique and I am a little sad that all of my Pink Paislee ~ Queen Bee Delux kit is gone. :(    I was able to make another layout using the Cricut Create a Critter and the Keystone Font Cartridge.  The embelishments in this kit are amazing, especial the Prima Say it in Pearls and Roses!

I just love the way this layout turned out.  Although the embellies are a bit feminine, the colors just felt masculine so it worked out perfect for my sweet little son! And the Create a Critter bee and hive are soooo cute!  I took all the left over bits and made this card.

I used the Preserves Cartridge for the Pear.  Isn't it just the cutest?  The sentiment is from the Clear Dollar set Tangy Trio.  I spritzed the Prima Leaf with Psst... Shimmer Spritz  Gold to add just a bit of glitz and finished it off with a cream colored sateen bow!

If you want to see the layout in closer detail simply visit the Blog at Lil' Lambs Boutique.

Pink Paislee Queen Bee

I design for Lil' Lamb's Boutique and recently recieved the Pink Paislee ~ Queen Bee ~Deluxe Scrapbook Kit in the mail.  The colors in this kit are muted and lovely and the embellishments ~ divine!  As I was opening the Prima Debutante Stem I noticed how cool the packaging was and couldn't bear to just toss it.

Instead, I cleaned the sticker off of the back, cut a heart from the Doodlecharms cartridge at 4 inches and adhered it to the back with spray glue and cut the excess off.

Just look how pretty it looks with the Pink Paislee Expressions Chipboard Alpha Stickers on it. I love the distressed look of these beautiful letters.

I like to use my Xyron sticker maker on thin ribbon like the pretty dingle ball ribbon included in this kit. It makes it a snap to put down.

And just look how beautiful it all came together. I cant wait to use the rest of this beautiful paper and all the beautiful embellishments!

Wow - I did it,  I actually went the distance and completed every single challenge the girls at My Pink Stamper gave us!  Thank you to Robyn and all her designers for making this such a great weekend! MPS NSD Challenge #6 ~ Child

Make something for or with a child is the challenge that Tracey, guest designer at My Pink Stamper put to us.  These pictures came right to mind!  The scuba dude on the Everyday Paper Dolls is adorable and the perfect fit for thes pics.  He is cut at 4 inches.  the title is cut at 3.5 inches from the Create a Critter cartridge.

MPS NSD #5 ~ Teacher Appreciation

Challenge #5 is from Karla over at My Pink Stamper.  This one was super easy for me as I have been on the TAW committee at  my son's  school for many years.  And I don't know too many teachers that wouldn't appreciate a coffee gift card.  ANd that's exactly what his teacher is getting this year.  Now I have a card to put it in!

Card ~ A2 cut from Bo Bunny Double Dot Chiffon Dot
Coffee Cup ~ Gypsy Wanderings (welded with heart) – red SU! Rockabilly, Bazzill White criss cross
Ribbon ~ Joanns

MPS NSD #3 ~ Thinking Outside the Box

Rowena, guest designer over at "My Pink Stamper" challenged us to do something we normally would not do.  Here I really went all out using the polka dot theme (even down to title).  There are dots everywhere on this page!  Now I normally wouldn't go this over board with a theme but I'm kina liking the way this turned out an am thinking about doing a double layout for this one!

MPS NSD Challenge #2 ~ Getting Scrappy

On this Challenge on "My Pink Stamper"  guest designer Julie challenged us to use our scraps.  I sort my stamps by color and have them in hanging files, in removable folders right at my desk.  This enables me to just pull the color I need and rifle through it to find the piece I need.  I then put all the "scraps" of scraps in a pile, trim them up and refile leftovers right after each scrap session.  I find myself using my scraps now that it is so easy to find them!  Any way, here is my "Getting Scrappy" offering:

A2 card cut at 11 x 4.25
Orange - 3.5"  Preserves
